Il Cornacchino
- HORSE RIDING HOLIDAYS AND MORE.... -
We're closed for the winter break and will reopen on 20 March. We're looking forward to seeing you!
Magic exists. And it’s closer than you think.

Serenity and unspoiled nature
Cornacchino is an agriturismo set in one of the most authentic and unspoiled areas of Tuscany.
We opened it more than thirty years ago, driven by our passion for horses, nature, good food, and the joy of sharing life together.
Located in the heart of the Monte Penna Nature Reserve, Cornacchino is a small stone hamlet surrounded by forests and pastures inhabited by deer, horses, porcupines, and wild boars.
Our hospitality is simple, warm, and informal, designed to make everyone feel at home—adults, children, and even your pets.
The FarmhouseWelcome to the living heart of nature
Cornacchino is an agriturismo that is not just about hospitality, but an active part of the “Monte Penna Ecosystems” forest agreement, managed by the Community Cooperative Ecosistema Comunale di Castell’Azzara, FSC® certified since 2024 for responsible forest management.
The entire property of Azienda Agricola Cornacchino — including forests, meadows, and pastures — is included in this concrete commitment to environmental protection, contributing to the safeguarding and sustainable management of forests worldwide.
Here, every step matters — including yours.

Riding Holidays
At Cornacchino, horses are part of everyday life.
We offer weekly riding programs, riding lessons, and guided trail rides, suitable for beginners as well as experienced riders.
Our horses are calm, reliable, and trained for equestrian tourism with western riding, chosen for its comfort and safety.
A natural and enjoyable way to approach horseback riding or to experience it more consciously.

Courses on Horses, Riding and Horsemanship
Years of experience and continuous practice allow us to offer courses and workshops covering riding techniques, Natural Western Riding, Mountain Trail, colt starting, traditional ranch work and farriery.
Our courses are designed for those who want to learn, deepen their knowledge, and gain hands-on experience, all within a relaxed atmosphere and surrounded by nature.
Our philosophy is simple: learn while having fun.

Horseback Riding Trails
Explore southern Tuscany on horseback with us: wide landscapes, Etruscan roads, ancient vie cave, tufa-carved necropolises, olive groves, thermal springs, the Maremma, and the culture of the Butteri.
Since 1985, we have been organizing week-long horse trekking experiences, including six days on horseback, accompanied by two experienced guides—one riding with the group and one managing logistics and picnics in nature.

Traditional Tuscan Cuisine
Our cuisine is inspired by Tuscan, Umbrian, and Lazio rural traditions, reinterpreted with care and creativity by our cooks.
There is no fixed menu: each day’s dishes are prepared according to the season, available ingredients, and guests’ preferences. Meals usually include appetizers, two first courses, a main course, side dishes, fruit or dessert, with vegetarian options always available.
Cornacchino is a certified organic farm, deeply respectful of the environment and the land. We use vegetables from our garden and high-quality local products, favouring zero-kilometer sourcing.
The essential ingredients remain constant: care, passion, and love for what we do.

Programs for Children, Teenagers, and Families
Cornacchino has always been a special place for children and young people to experience horses in a respectful and meaningful way.
Since 1992, we have organized summer camps, family activities, and dedicated programs for young riders.
In collaboration with the WWF, we offer camps for children aged 7 to 14, trekking schools for teenagers, and horse trekking experiences designed especially for them.
We're closed for the winter break and will reopen on 20 March. We're looking forward to seeing you!
